Course Objectives

The objective of the course is to provide basic skills related to operate in stock and bond market and the ways of investing in it. It will enable the student to take up investment in stock and bond markets independently.

Unit III: Fundamentals of Bonds

Meaning of Bonds, Features of Bonds, Types of Bonds: Treasury Notes and Bonds, Inflation-Protected Treasury Bonds, Federal Agency Bonds, International Bonds, Municipal Bonds, Corporate Bonds, Mortgages and Mortgages-backed Securities; Security Market: Market Participants; Trading Securities; Security Market Indices
