Types of Stock and Other Securities, Types of Stock Market (Primary Market & Secondary Market), Procedure of IPO and FPO, Stock Dividend, Cash Dividend and Right Share, Trading Mechanism in NEPSE (Trading Time, Types of Market Session, Types of Orders, Price Range and Circuit Breaker & Clearing and Settlement Procedures), Web Access–Overview (DMAT/ASBA & TMS), NEPSE Index, Sub-index and Price Adjustment, Portfolio Management and Diversification, Risk Management Tools, Basic Investment Strategies, Sample Modules of Investments of Some Legendary Investors

Unit II: Fundamental Analysis (1 Session)

Trading Approaches, Financial Statement Analysis, Non-financial Factors that affect Stock Market Price, Ratio Analysis, Trading and Business Cycle Analysis, Political and Economic Factors, Monetary Policy, Fiscal Policy and Budget, Impact of Inflation, Interest Rate, Liquidity and Other Alternative Investment, Systematic and Unsystematic Risk, Other Factors that affect Stock Demand and Supply

Unit III: Technical Analysis (2 Sessions)

Philosophy of Technical Analysis and Markets(Technical Vs. Fundamental Forecasting, Technical Approach to Trading and Investment), Chart Construction (Line, Bar & Candle), Support and Resistance, Trend Lines, Dow Theory (Basic Ideas, Closing Prices and Lines, Primary Trend, Secondary Trend and Minor Trend, Concept of Confirmation, Importance of Volume & The Dow Theory’s Defects), Candle Stick Charting (Basic Chart Construction, Bullish Reversal Patterns, Bearish Reversal Patterns , Bullish Continuation Patterns , Bearish Continuation Patterns & Candle Patterns & Filters), Trend Indicator (Moving Averages & Bollinger Bands), Oscillators (Commodity Channel Index, Relative Strength Index, Stochastic Oscillators, Williams %R, Parabolic SAR & Moving Average Convergence Divergence), Building Trading Strategies Based on Technical Analysis & Trading Psychology
